We welcome your feedback on the Barnet Group’s Damp, Mould and Condensation Policy review and invite you to read the attached policy and complete the online feedback form. The Barnet Group is reviewing the Damp, Mould and Condensation Policy in line with the new legislation known as ‘Awaab’s Law’.
This consultation is open until Wednesday 1st October 2025.
The key changes made to the policy which we would recommend residents focus on when reviewing and providing feedback are:
- Changes to statutory target timescales and the introduction of inspection reports for tenants
- Increased focus on resident vulnerabilities at every stage of the process
- New commitments to a proactive and data-driven approach, with new expectations for frontline staff to report issues and increased monitoring of recurring issues
- Commitments to educate and proactively communicate with residents
